Today we got our Unit 1 marks back. I managed a 30, which is steady B as the scheme goes in 12's (12 C, 24 B, 36 A, 48 A*). On that, I think I did quite well, but it would be better if I could improve my marks across the board as each section was worth below 10 marks. Main area for improvment for the whole group was the Feedback section, which when we did it was rather rushed, and some of the group found the feedback videos that were taken to have disapeard because of system privacy within the school and all that. So this time around, more effort needs to be placed across the the board personally by me, and as a group Feedback is important.
For the days rehersals we spent the first hour discussing whats needed, what has been done and what needs to be done. We also spent a little time just reading the lines through without the actions to just make sure we've got them down well. For the second hour we worked on what we realy need ofr the performance: The Props. Without them it's all up to the narrative and won't seem as fludic.
In the IT unit we moved each person out so the rest of the group can annonamously write words to describe that person. We can then use those veiws on as a starting point for writing about ourselves.

May 10th
While i was not here today, I still need to write what I have missed so that I can show how I've caught up. Apparently, the group worked on contracts that day, and I apparently had the wrong idea of what a contract within T.I.E is until now. I thought a contract would have been a team agreement, but it is a contract in the sense of "something that schools fill out if they want to hire us for a performance". As I'm also doing a piece of T.I.E in my normal drama lessons, I'll have to make amends on that.
While I was off, my group began blocking the rehearsal, which went well and they ended up finishing it. There were a few problems on line learning and remembering the stage directions, but I think we're more than able to polish them out in extra rehearsals. But since I wasn't there, I don't know what the new stage directions for me are, but I at least know the majority of my lines, and can imagine what things to do when others do their scripted directions.
The only thing that hasn't been sorted is the music. Are we going to record it, or will we be playing it live? Are going to play it as an intro or an outro? Any place will do in my eyes, since it can make a good introduction to theme, while also tieing it up easily.

Today we finished our music peices! Abi set up her camera and videoed the peice, and says she'll have it up ASAP. To get to this point, we played around with different strumming patterns on the guitar and different rythems on the drums. Finaly, we came up with a good balance. Compaitivley to the first draft, the rythem on the drums flows and changes and keeps it interesting. Now that we have a good song, we only need to reherse it and get it down to a T.
There are only two worrys I have for this song, and thats my sence of the beat (I sometimes lose track and ither come in early or late), and Ollys attention span, he seems to get distracted sometimes which breaks up the rehersal period. We havn't changed any of the instruments from the original: with Olly on Guitar; Frankie on keyboard; Abi on drums and vocal; and me having my rap section.
As long as I don't lose track and get in on time, everything should be fine with me. Abi seems nervous about her singing, but she really shouldn't be as she has good a voice. And her timing on the drums is perfect, so she needn't worry about messing up the beat.
